Manufactured by Bayer. (Antidiabetic)

Product contains 50 mg of Acarbose.

GLUCOBAY is used in combination with diet and exercise to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes in patients with impaired glucose tolerance.

Therapeutic properties:

Diabetes.

Diabetes in patients with latent diabetes.

Product acts by inhibiting the effect of the enzyme that breaks down sugars in the small intestine.

Side Effects:

Gastrointestinal gas.

Diarrhea.

Vomiting as a result of nausea.

Allergic reaction for exsample skin rash.

Abdominal pain.

Dosage:

The standard initial dose in adults is one 50 mg or 100 mg 3 times a day.

Tips:

GLUCOBAY is not recommended for children under 18 years old.

Prevent the use of this medicine if you have serious renal impairment and chronic bowel disorder associated with digestive and absorption disorders.
