Product contains 5 mg of Amlodipine.

Manufactured by Pfizer. (Cardiovascular)

White to off-white, round, tablet debossed with “Pfizer” on one side and “NVC5” on the other side.

Therapeutic properties of Norvasc:

Product is used to treat high blood pressure also known as hypertension. You can use it alone or in combination with other antihypertensives to control blood pressure.

Certain types of chest pain called angina for example chronic stable angina, vasospastic or Prinzmetal’s angina. You can use it alone or in combination with other antianginal drugs.

Tablet reduces blood pressure by expanding the vessels and allowing the blood to stream more easily.

Side Effects:

Headache (especially at the start of treatment).

Dizziness and fatigue also known as asthenia.

Palpitation, flushing. Because of expanded vessels.

Abdominal pain.

Vomitting as a result of nausea.

Edema.

Visual disturbances for example diplopia.

Ankle swelling, muscle cramps.

Dosage:

Starting dose is 5 mg per day. It may be increased to 10 mg per day depending on your personal response.

Please especially consult your doctor/physician for the best dosage.

Tips:

It is not recommended to take NORVASC with the grape and grapefruit juice.
