PRADAXA 150 MG. 60 CAP.

This Product contains 150 mg of Dabigatran. Of course dabigatran is thrombin inhibitor.

Therapeutic properties of Pradaxa:

The primary prevention of venous thromboembolic events in adult patients undergoing elective total hip or total knee replacement surgery.

The treatment of deep vein thrombosis (in short DVT) and pulmonary embolism (in short PE). Besides it used in the prevention of recurrent DVT and PE in adult patients.

Side Effects of Pradaxa:

Reduction in hemoglobin.

Unusual results of liver function in laboratory tests.

Vomiting as a result of nausea.

Diarrhea.

Increased risk of bleeding.

Dosage:

After elective knee replacement surgery or elective hip replacement surgery: 220 mg/day

You are receiving concomitant verapamil, amiodarone, quinidine; your daily dose is 150 mg.

If you are 75 years old or older than 75; your daily dose is 150 mg.

If you have moderate renal impairment; your daily dose is 150 mg.

Please consult especially your doctor/physician for the best dosage.

Tips:

Do not use PRADAXA while you have active bleeding.

Do not use PRADAXA while you have serious renal or liver disease.

PRADAXA tablets can be taken while you have a full or an empty stomach.
