Product contains 250 mg of Ursodeoxycholic Acid.

Yellow opaque hard gelatin capsule containing white or whitish powder.

Therapeutic properties:

Cirrhosis of the liver.

Gallstone or slowing of bile flow also known as cholestasis.

Accumulation of bile water in the liver.

Liver, biliary and biliary tract diseases caused by cystic fibrosis.

Side Effects of Ursodeoxycholic Acid:

Gastrointestinal problems for example diarrhea.

Abdominal pain.

Hives.

Dosage of Ursodeoxycholic Acid:

The dosage of product depends on body weight coupled with patient condition.

Treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis (also known as PBS): Daily dose is 14±2 mg/kg.

Dissolving cholesterol gallstones: Daily dose is 10 mg/kg especially once in the evening before going to bed.

Cholestasis/Gallstone prophylaxis in liver transplant patients: Daily dose is 10-15 mg/kg.

Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy: Daily dose is 10-20 mg/kg.

Treatment of hepatobiliary diseases associated with cystic fibrosis: Daily dose is 20 mg/kg for children over 6 years old and adults.
